Transportation

Fly directly into Hilton Head through the smaller airport, Hilton Head Airport (HXD). Or, if you prefer to fly into a larger airport, take a flight to Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV), located in Savannah, Georgia and get a rental car for to drive 45 minutes to the island. Once on the island, there are many transportation options including taxis, limos and shuttle services. However, if you prefer to explore the island on your own schedule, it's recommended that you get a car.
